Charting the Safety and Quality of Australian Health Care 2004

Health Policy Analysis was engaged by the former Australian Council for Safety and Quality in Health Care to prepare the publication Charting the Safety and Quality of Australian Health Care.  This publication provides information on the quality of health care in Australia from various data sources.  It is an attachment to the Council’s fifth annual report to Health Ministers, Maximising National Effectiveness to Reduce Harm and Improve Care, Fifth Report to the Australian Health Ministers’ Conference, 29 July 2004.  The Chartbook was produced to provide health care providers, policy makers, and consumers with a comprehensive overview of what is already known about the safety and quality of the Australian health care system by collecting together within the same cover useful published data from many sources.
